The Development of Scale items for the Parent-Child Relationship in Infancy parents(Less than 36months) using the Delphi Method

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to develop scale items for the parent-child relationship in infancy using the Delphi method. Seventeen experts representing the fields of infant development, play therapy, and infant-care were invited to participate as the expert panel. The results yielded content validity and item goodness of test construction. It also showed the following results: first, the final 105 items were considered appropriate items. Second, the correlations between each item and total score were 0.29~0.96; and, internal consistency was 0.99 for the total score, and 0.78~0.94 for each sub factors. Finally, 11 factors and 105 items were found to be appropriate and valid.
